Shouldn't just send you off to someone else's site but I'm going to. Del Larkin Smith's wordpunk piece on what software and hardware writers use is interesting, not just because it lists my slightly weird collection of laptops and software.
I find writing software fascinating. So much so that trawling the interweb looking for new examples gets in the way of actually writing. Most of the software on offer on sites that sell this stuff seems to be for generating ideas, which is pretty weird, since most people agree that's the really easy bit and it's turning the ideas into something worth reading that's really hard. Since there's no obvious pic to put with this I'm uploading a Munch simply because I like it.
